Student Ratings
slideNumber:
The Student Ratings system allows students to confidentially rate their BYU learning experience. Students are encouraged to provide feedback about their courses and instructors. The student ratings are very important in helping instructors improve their teaching and in helping the University evaluate courses and faculty.
Related Comment Classification is a CTL service that categorizes the written feedback from students in the student ratings. Contact your CTL Consultant to learn more.
There are several options to discuss student ratings:
Your department can review your scoring and feedback with you within the context of your peers.
Your CTL Consultant to discuss ways to improve your teaching based on the scores and feedback.
The Faculty Center can discuss how your student ratings may impact advancement or promotion.
Mid-Course Evaluation
slideNumber:
Mid-Course evaluations allow students to reflect on course goals and individual progress, inform the instructor about what is working or not working in the course, and recognize that the instructor cares about their learning experience.
