Melissa Cox

UX/Web Designer

Melissa has been a creative at heart from the beginning. She took all the art classes that were offered in Jr. High and High School. When she was 8, she asked her parents if she could take private art lessons. And, through her mother’s persistence, Melissa was able to take private lessons from Liz Lemon Swindle, Gary Price, and Dennis Zupan. Her constant desire to create led her to study painting at BYU from 1997-2004.

Melissa realized that working in the web design field would be a great combination of her analytical mind and her love of creating art. The first company she worked for was Bright Builders and in addition to designing and developing many websites for their clients, they gave her the opportunity to design the user interface of their website builder. Through this, she found herself drawn to user-based design. Over the next 8 years, she would have several opportunities to produce UI designs and found herself seeking that over corporate-based web design. She was excited to be hired as a full-time UI designer at eFileCabinet and finally at CTL.

Melissa loves learning about other cultures through travel. She loves to work with her hands and some of such hobbies include: Playing guitar, bookbinding, and trying to tame the weeds in her yard. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the South Africa, Durban mission from 2001-2002.
