Bryan Bradley

Associate Director

Career

Bryan Bradley specializes in issues concerning the assessment of student learning. His duties include consulting with colleges, departments and individual faculty on best practices in assessment. He also oversees the operations of the Testing Center in the Heber J. Grant Building.

With over 20 years of experience in learner-centered instruction and assessment, Bryan has served many clients in government, industry, and higher education as an independent consultant and as a leader within many respected consulting companies, including ETS, Sylvan Learning, Allen Communication Learning Services, Prometric, Novell, and Price Waterhouse.

As a consultant, Bryan works with faculty members to improve the quality of student- learning assessments. Additionally, he facilitates workshops on defining and developing learning-centered assessments, defining knowledge and performance outcomes for learners, and designing meaningful learning activities.

Bryan’s work and research interests include assessing learner performance at the higher levels of cognitive behavior. This includes traditional forms of assessment and authentic assessment experiences for students. In addition, Bryan helps instructors categorize, interpret, and evaluate assessment data to improve instruction and student learning. He enjoys working with faculty members to support them in the development of assessments, performance feedback, course outcomes, and course activities that promote the highest levels and rewards of learning.

Bryan and his wife, Carol, live in Mapleton. They are the parents of four children and have a growing number of grandchildren. He enjoys the Utah mountains, church service opportunities, reading, hiking, music, and other family-centered activities. He also makes anyone who plays golf with him look good.
