Student Perspectives on Motivation

BYU students discuss how professors’ emphasis on relevance, class discussion, and interest in students helps increase their motivation to learn and succeed.

Teaching can be frustrating when students lack interest in the subject matter (or learning, in general). In the short video below, students discuss what professors can do to increase student motivation.

Although learning is the responsibility of the learner, the foregoing student comments and a few related Tips (linked below), suggest what you can do to help your students increase their motivation to learn.
