Usability Center

The Usability Center makes it easy for you to test the usability of your software, Web content, or application. Using special technology, the center can provide helpful feedback to evaluate the design, usability, and accessibility of your product.

Location:

The Usability Center is located in room #5437 in the northeast section, 5th floor of the Harold B. Lee Library.

Phone:

801-592-3055

Our center, operating in conjunction with the Harold B. Lee Library, allows patrons to test the usability of multiple products including software, Web content, applications, and more.

A state-of-the-art technology suite enables clients to record a test participant’s actions while using a product including mouse tracking, screen capture, and audio/video capture of the participant. This information is then analyzed to produce a detailed usability report for the client and provide helpful feedback in the development and evaluation process.

The Usability Center also conducts or assists with focus groups and other quality assurance activities. The center can be used by members of the BYU community for many different research or testing purposes.
