Walk-in Services
The Walk-in Center collaborates with faculty to produce multimedia projects that fit the following criteria. Each project should:
Improve teaching and/or learning.
Be completed within 50 hours or less (larger projects must be approved with the help of your Teaching & Learning Consultant).
Be connected to a course where students are enrolled and receive a grade.
The following are four categories that most of our projects generally fall under:
- PowerPoint Presentations. We help give your slides a professional appearance and incorporate visual design principles to maximize learning for your audience.
- Learning Objects. We create custom computer animations that demonstrate how things work or simulate learning concepts that are otherwise difficult for students to understand.
- Audio/Video Editing. We capture clips from source material (e.g., audiocassettes, videotapes, DVDs), edit, convert to various file formats, and publish (e.g., DVD, CD).
- Scanning. We scan graphics from magazines, books, photos, and 35mm slides, and organize them as media libraries.
We are located in 3704 HBLL (the Southwest corner of the library). We are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Call 422-1888 for assistance.
