Instructional Design and Production (Portfolio)

Sometimes the issue is not necessarily the course design, but rather students struggle with a few key concepts. The Center for Teaching & Learning can help you design and develop activities or materials for your course that help students learn. Working together, CTL and BYU faculty have developed a number of nationally published and award-winning instructional media. The Center for Teaching & Learning online Portfolio can help you find effective ways to use media and technology to improve your course and your students’ learning experience. The following categories describe the types of custom learning projects the CTL has collaborated with BYU faculty to produce:

  • Instructional Websites
  • Collaboratively Created Websites
  • Interactive Reference Materials & Resource Collections
  • Instructional Simulations
  • Visualizations & Representations
  • Videos & Animations
  • Interactive Presentations & Tutorials

To find more specific information about these projects, click the project titles listed to the right. These projects highlight just a few of the ways that technology can enhance teaching and learning. We are always exploring exciting ways to effectively use technology in a variety of instructional settings, so check back periodically to see what’s new.

We hope that your search through the CTL Portfolio sparks new ideas or that you’ll find a project that could be adapted to fit your needs. As you browse, think about the possibilities for your own teaching. If you want to propose an instructional media project, please contact your Teaching & Learning Consultant.
