Course Design/Redesign
You may be teaching a course for the first time and need to plan it out; or you may have been teaching the same course for years and feel it is time to try a fresh approach; or perhaps a course needs to change to meet new program requirements. In short, there are several reasons to look at a course as a whole. Whatever the reason, the Center for Teaching & Learning can support you in designing or redesigning an effective course.
CTL has adopted a general-purpose, learning-centered course development model based on the significant learning model of L. Dee Fink. This model does not replace, but rather informs the practice of most teaching and learning strategies.
CTL also has Teaching & Learning Consultants, Instructional Designers, and Media Production Specialists that can assist you in the development of your course. For more information or to propose a course design project, please contact your Teaching & Learning Consultant.
